I was talking with a friend this weekend and we were trying to make plans to meet for dinner.
Her: “WHAT IF I pick you up at 6 and we . . . . .?”
Me: “OR! WHAT IF I just meet you at 6 and then . . . .?”
Her: “But WHAT IF we both . . . .?”
And on and on it went for quite awhile until we finally figured out that our meeting would have to wait for another time. 🙂
But, all those “what ifs” got me thinking about . . . .well, “WHAT IF. . . . .??”
You know, what if pigs could fly? What if everyone flushed their toilets at the same exact moment? What if lightening did strike the same spot twice? And so on and so on . . .I am sure we have all wondered about something at some point in our lives.
So today as I was washing my hands in a public bathroom, I listened to two women go back and forth about their hair and their skin and their bodies, etc. until they had picked themselves and each other apart teeny tiny piece by itsy bitsy piece and they both left the ladies’ room miserable with themselves.
And I was left thinking . . . .WHAT IF tomorrow we woke up and thought nothing but loving thoughts about ourselves and those we encountered?
WHAT. IF . . . . .
