About Mo

Welcome to my blog!  So glad you are here  🙂  My name is Mo and I will be attempting to offer you some life lessons I’ve learned over my years here on earth.  I would also like to be able to offer you some words of encouragement as we have all had our challenges in life and perhaps something that once helped me, can help you as well.  That’s my passion in life . . . to help others.  In any way I possibly can.  Big or small.  Simple or profound.  Only you can determine that.  I just want to do whatever I can to help at least one person each day have a better day than they would have if they hadn’t met me.

In a nutshell, I am the real Bionic Woman!  I have a swift right arm that will scoop you into a bear hug the second I meet you, ears that listen intently to what you have to say, and two strength enhanced legs that have run a marathon, biked hundreds of miles for cancer research, jumped out of a plane, and walked a lifetime in others’ shoes with countless hours of volunteer work.  Mo is my name, people are my passion and conquering a ridiculous amount of health issues is my game!

I am an Irish girl and the youngest of five.  Diabetes, cancer, kidney failure, and impaired vision are all issues I strive to conquer everyday.  I am a double transplant recipient of a kidney and pancreas in 2001, currently waiting for another life saving transplant after chemotherapy attacked my kidney in 2015.   I have taught for 25 years, elementary through high school level.  Mainly math.  And I have loved every single second I have had with my students. But now I feel like it is time to move on and attempt to help others in a different way.  So here is my blog.  I hope it can help you in some way.  I hope you will reach out and “piggyback” and try to help others from your perspective and life lessons.  We are all here to help each other . . . . .so let’s get started!!
